Overview

Since the whole idea circled around the promotion of the Far Western Region, we decided to take the best parts it had to offer and incorporate it all in our designs without creating any conflict with the operations and communications. The end result needed to resonate with the region and the outsiders alike.

Logo Design

The logo was designed to be a symbolic representation of the Far Western Region. The simple rectangle in the logo symbolizes a gateway for the visitors into the region. The peculiar set of designs on its left column is inspired by the carvings commonly found in the homes of the Tharus (natives of the region). The outline of the animal in the foreground represents the swamp deer, also known as the twelve-tined deer or as the locals call it, “barasingha”.

It is a very rare species of deer which extinct in most parts of Southeast Asia. The fonts continue this trend with the letter “A” in “FAR” donning the silhouette of Mt.Api, the tallest peak in the region. Paying homage to the vibrant natural beauty, the colours green and blue were picked for the design and the fonts in the logo, respectively.
